This past weekend, the St. Anthony girls flag football team had their first games. The team is in its inaugural season, opening up the year in impressive fashion with wins over Totino-Grace (35-19) and Roseville (26-18). The JV team also picked up two wins.

The team was formed based on student interest and notable effort from senior Greta Schumann. SAVHS alum Savannah Gilmore and Spencer Alvarez are serving as the team’s coaches this season and a grant from the Minnesota Vikings helped offset some of the costs.
