Congratulations to seniors Ava Busch-Manske and Philip Kram on being named St. Anthony Village High School’s Triple ‘A’ Award winners!
The Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award, commonly known as the Triple ‘A’ Award is a recognition program run through the Minnesota State High School League that honors seniors throughout the state who have at least a 3.0 GPA and who participate in League-sponsored athletic and fine arts activities.
Ava-Busch Manske is within the top-10 in the 2024 graduating class with a GPA above 4.0 while taking three AP classes and two College in School (CIS) courses throughout high school. Ava has been a member of the band since 9th grade and has also been involved in a variety of different sports. She started off playing soccer and hockey, but suffered injuries that required her to change course. Sophomore year she joined the cross country team, being part of two state qualifying teams and serving as a captain her senior season. Ava is also a member of the track and field team and joined the Nordic ski team this winter.
Philip Kram has taken five AP courses throughout high school, been named an AP Scholar, and has also earned a GPA over 4.0. Phil is a member of the jazz and concert bands, and has played in the pep band and did two years of marching band. During his athletic career, Phil has competed at state in three different sports - an impressive feat! In Nordic skiing and track and field, Phil has qualified for the state meet two years in a row, and this past fall he qualified for the state cross country meet. He has earned All-Conference recognition in all three sports and has earned three All-State Academic awards.
