The St. Anthony Village Athletics & Activities Department is excited to name Madison Hendrickson and Brian Fetyko as the new girls swim & dive head coaches. They will share the role of head coach, each bringing their own distinct set of skills to help coach the large team, made up of swimmers from St. Anthony, DeLaSalle, and St. Agnes. 

“I am thrilled to announce Brian Fetyko and Madison Hendrickson as the new co-head coaches for the Huskies girls swim and dive team!” said Dr. Troy Urdahl, SAVHS Athletics & Activities Director. “Fetyko and Hendrickson complement each other very well and will bring out the best in each other for the team. Both are transformational coaches who prioritize athlete relationships and will push our swimmers and divers to greater futures - inside the pool, and out!” 

Both Fetyko and Hendrickson are very familiar with the St. Anthony swim program. Coach Fetyko spent the last two seasons as a co-head coach with Amy Croonquist and spent four seasons as an assistant prior to that role. 

“I am grateful for this opportunity to coach the Huskies girl swim and dive team alongside Coach Madison and continue growing the foundation that Coach Amy started,” commented Fetyko. “I am excited to get the 2024 Girls swim season underway.  See you in the pool!”

Coach Hendrickson has served as the head boys swim & dive coach at St. Anthony for the past four seasons and has spent five seasons as an assistant coach for the girls team. Madison is also an alumna of the program, competing on the team when she was a student at SAVHS. 

Hendrickson shared her excitement for the role. "I cannot wait to help lead this wonderful group of strong young women!” she said. “Their energy and enthusiasm excites me and I can't wait to see what this team is even more capable of!" 

Coaches Fetyko and Hendrickson have a solid base to start from, as the team has had strong numbers in the past few years and has sent a participant to state the last two seasons. The 2024 season begins on August 12.
